Jim Oram – Endorsed Candidate of the Republican Party for Easttown Supervisor

Jim Oram is an endorsed Republican Candidate running for Supervisor in Easttown Township.

Jim graduating from Washington & Lee University after receiving his commission from the US Army.

Education

Jim grew up in Bryn Mawr and attended The Haverford School. He graduated from Washington & Lee University where he played football and earned a BA in Political Science and Economics. He served three years in the United States Army as a Ranger and Company Commander in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. A decorated combat veteran, he was promoted to the rank of Captain at age 23.

Leadership Experience

Jim held management and executive positions during his 32 year career at IBM and the IBM Credit Corporation. Today, as the CEO of the consulting company, Forge Business Solutions, Jim specializes in sales, marketing, and general business organizational issues. His clients include local and regional businesses in the insurance, legal services, and health care industries. Also, he does extensive pro bono work in the non-profit sector.

Fighting for our Community

In the community, he founded and served as president of the Berwyn Paoli Neighborhood Association. He successfully led the effort to prevent a zoning change which would have resulted in the loss of residential homes to commercial development. In addition, he coached little league and served on the Haverford School Alumni Board.

Building & Bolstering Families

Jim has a keen interest in the welfare of children and is passionate about preventative services for them and their families. He is a past President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Aid Society of Pennsylvania on whose board he served for 30 years. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Turning Points for Children, an organization that serves over 3000 children and 2100 families each year. As lifelong residents of the area, Jim and his wife Wendy live in Berwyn and have two married sons.
